जितशिक्षोदरो मैत्र: शिष्टाचारसमन्वित: । वैणवीं धारयेद्‌ यष्टिं सोदक॑ च कमण्डलुम्‌

Transliteration

jitāśikṣodaro maitraḥ śiṣṭācārasamanvitaḥ | vaiṇavīṁ dhārayed yaṣṭiṁ sodakaṁ ca kamaṇḍalum ||

Translation

Vāyu-deva dit : «Qu’il soit celui qui a vaincu les élans de la langue et du ventre, amical envers tous, et pourvu de la conduite des hommes cultivés. Qu’il porte un bâton de bambou et un kamaṇḍalu rempli d’eau, vivant dans une retenue disciplinée et une bienséance exemplaire.»
