सप्तहोतृ-विधानम् एवं इन्द्रिय–मनःसंवादः
The Seven Hotṛs and the Debate of Senses and Mind
बहूनपि हि संकल्पान् मत्वा स्वप्लानुपास्य च बुभुक्षया पीड्यमानो विषयानेव धावति,बहुत-से संकल्पोंका मनन और स्वप्लोंका आश्रय लेकर भोग भोगनेकी इच्छासे पीड़ित हुआ प्राणी विषयोंकी ओर ही दौड़ता है
bahūn api hi saṅkalpān matvā svaplān upāsya ca bubhukṣayā pīḍyamāno viṣayān eva dhāvati
Car, après avoir nourri maints desseins et s’être accroché aux songes, l’homme—tourmenté par la convoitise—ne court que vers les objets des sens. L’esprit montre comment le désir, entretenu par des projets imaginaires et des projections semblables au rêve, détourne de la stabilité et entraîne vers la poursuite de plaisirs fugitifs.
