पौरजानपदाश्लैव राजभक्तिपुरस्कृता: । गड़ां प्रजग्मुरभितो वाससैकेन संवृता:,उनके साथ राजभक्तिको सामने रखनेवाले पुरवासी और जनपदनिवासी भी थे। वे सब एक वस्त्र धारण करके गंगाजीके समीप गये

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | paurajānapadāś caiva rājabhakti-puraskṛtāḥ | gaṅgāṃ prajagmūr abhito vāsasaikena saṃvṛtāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana dit : Les citadins et les gens des campagnes les accompagnèrent aussi, plaçant au premier rang leur dévotion envers le roi. Vêtus d’un seul vêtement, ils avancèrent ensemble vers la rivière Gaṅgā et s’y rassemblèrent.
