कुन्तीनिवर्तनप्रयत्नः तथा वननिवासप्रारम्भः
Attempt to Dissuade Kuntī; Commencement of Forest Residence
६ ।। यस्त्वेष पाश्वेंडस्य महाधनुष्मान् श्यामो युवा वारणयूथपाभ: । सिंहोन्नतांसो गजखेलगामी पद्मायताक्षोअर्जुन एष वीर:,इनके बगलमें जो ये महाधनुर्धर और श्याम रंगके नवयुवक दिखायी देते हैं, जिनके कंधे सिंहके समान ऊँचे हैं, जो हाथियोंके यूथपति गजराजके समान प्रतीत होते हैं और हाथीके ही समान मस्तानी चालसे चलते हैं, ये कमलदलके समान विशाल नेत्रोंवाले वीरवर अर्जुन हैं
yastveṣa pārśvendrasya mahādhanuṣmān śyāmo yuvā vāraṇayūthapābhaḥ | siṃhonnatāṃso gajakelagāmī padmāyatākṣo 'rjuna eṣa vīraḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : «Et celui qui se tient auprès du seigneur—au teint sombre, jeune héros portant un arc puissant—semble le chef d’un troupeau d’éléphants. Les épaules hautes comme celles d’un lion, il avance avec l’allure fière d’un grand éléphant ; ce guerrier aux yeux de lotus est Arjuna. »
