अध्याय १५ (Āśramavāsika-parva): धृतराष्ट्रस्य वनवासानुज्ञायाचनम् — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s renewed plea for consent to forest-dwelling
कृपं निवर्तयामास युयुत्सुं च महारथम् । धृतराष्ट्री महीपाल: परिदाप्य युधिष्ठिरे,महाराज धुृतराष्ट्रने कृपाचार्य और महारथी युयुत्सुको युधिष्ठिरके हाथों सौंपकर लौटाया
kṛpaṃ nivartayāmāsa yuyutsuṃ ca mahāratham | dhṛtarāṣṭrī mahīpālaḥ paridāpya yudhiṣṭhire ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Le roi Dhṛtarāṣṭra, après avoir renvoyé Kṛpa et le grand combattant de char Yuyutsu, se retira—les ayant confiés à Yudhiṣṭhira. L’épisode souligne le dernier détachement de Dhṛtarāṣṭra des liens du pouvoir royal et sa volonté de placer des aînés et alliés sûrs sous la protection du roi régnant, conforme au dharma et à la responsabilité.
