Chatra–Upānah Dāna: Origin Narrative
Jamadagni–Reṇukā–Sūrya Saṃvāda
प्रययुस्ते ततो भूयस्तीर्थानि वनगोचरा: । पुण्येषु तीर्थेषु तथा गात्राण्याप्लावयन्त ते
prayayus te tato bhūyas tīrthāni vanagocarāḥ | puṇyeṣu tīrtheṣu tathā gātrāṇy āplāvayanta te ||
Alors ces errants, habitants des forêts, repartirent une fois encore vers les tīrtha, les gués sacrés. De lieu saint en lieu saint, ils immergeaient leurs corps dans les eaux et s’y baignaient, se renouvelant par le pèlerinage et la purification.
