Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
परिचर्या बने तां तु क्षुत्प्रतिघातकारिकाम् । अन्योन्येन निवेद्याथ प्रातिष्ठन्त सहैव ते
paricaryā vane tāṁ tu kṣutpratighātakārikām | anyonyena nivedyātha prātiṣṭhanta sahaiva te ||
Bhishma dit : Après s’être informés mutuellement de leur état, ils dirent : «Nous errons dans cette forêt pour trouver de quoi apaiser la faim.» Puis, ils se mirent en route ensemble.
भीष्म उवाच
Even in scarcity, one should uphold dharmic conduct—mutual courtesy (inquiring after welfare), cooperation, and disciplined effort to meet basic needs without abandoning ethical behavior.
After exchanging well-being and explaining that they are moving about the forest to obtain food and relieve hunger, the group departs together, engaging in the practical tasks needed for survival.
