Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) |
The episode reinforces that abandoning greed and aligning with dharma brings lasting spiritual reward; divine authority (Indra) confirms the fruit of such conduct as access to imperishable heavenly realms.
After Indra speaks, the assembled great seers joyfully assent (“tathāstu”) and, accompanying Indra, depart together to Triviṣṭapa (heaven), marking the completion of their vindication and reward.
