Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्

अभुक्तवत्सु नाक्षाति ब्राह्मणेषु तु यो नर: । अभोजनेन तेनास्य जित: स्वर्गों भवत्युत,जबतक ब्राह्मण भोजन नहीं कर लें तबतक जो अन्न ग्रहण नहीं करता, वह मनुष्य अपने उस व्रतके द्वारा स्वर्गलोकपर विजय पाता है

abhuktavatsu nāśnāti brāhmaṇeṣu tu yo naraḥ | abhojanena tenāsya jitaḥ svargo bhavaty uta ||

Bhishma dit : «L’homme qui ne mange pas tant que les brahmanes n’ont pas été nourris —qui se retient jusqu’à ce qu’ils aient pris leur repas—, par cette seule discipline, pour ainsi dire, remporte le ciel.»
