संजुहावात्मना55त्मानं स्वयमेव तदा प्रभो | यज्ञं च शोभयामास बहुरूपं पिनाकधृत्,प्रभो! पिनाकधारी महादेवजीने अनेक रूपवाले उस यज्ञकी शोभा बढ़ायी और उन्होंने स्वयं ही अपने द्वारा अपने आपको आहुति प्रदान की
saṁjuhāvātmanātmānaṁ svayam eva tadā prabho | yajñaṁ ca śobhayāmāsa bahurūpaṁ pinākadhṛt ||
Vasiṣṭha dit : «Ô Seigneur, en ce temps-là, Mahādeva, porteur du Pināka, prenant de multiples formes, rehaussa la splendeur de ce sacrifice ; et, par son propre Soi, il offrit son propre Soi en oblation. »
