Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
शक्ता हासि महीं कृत्स्नां वोढुं धारयितुं तथा । न हि ते किंचिदप्राप्पमन्यतो धारणादृते,“देवि! तुम सारी पृथ्वीको धारण करनेमें समर्थ हो, फिर इस गर्भको धारण करना तुम्हारे लिये कुछ असाध्य नहीं है”
śaktā hāsi mahīṁ kṛtsnāṁ voḍhuṁ dhārayituṁ tathā | na hi te kiṁcid aprāpyam anyato dhāraṇād ṛte |
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô Déesse, tu es pleinement capable de porter et de soutenir la terre entière. Dès lors, pour toi, porter cet embryon n’a rien d’inaccessible : rien ne te dépasse, sinon ce qui serait impossible sans l’acte même de soutenir.»
