Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
इत्युक्त:ः स तदा तैस्तु ब्रह्मा लोकपितामह: । तथेत्येवाब्रवीत् प्रीतस्तेडपि जग्मुर्यथागतम्
ity uktaḥ sa tadā tais tu brahmā lokapitāmahaḥ | tathety evābravīt prītas te 'pi jagmur yathāgatam ||
Ainsi interpellé par ces divinités, Brahmā—le Pitāmaha, père des mondes—fut satisfait et répondit : «Tathāstu : qu’il en soit ainsi.» Puis les dieux se retirèrent, repartant comme ils étaient venus.
