Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka
The passage underscores that realms attained through dharma and merit are characterized by auspiciousness and freedom from misfortune; the comforts described (divine groves, mansions, wish-moving vimānas) are presented as fruits of righteous conduct rather than mere luxury.
Bhishma is addressing Vāsava (Indra) and describing a heavenly region where no inauspiciousness exists, emphasizing its divine environment and the presence of splendid vimānas that travel according to desire.
