Cows and Ghee as Supreme Purifiers
प्रीतश्चापि महादेवश्चकार वृषभं तदा
prītaścāpi mahādevaścakāra vṛṣabhaṃ tadā
Bhīṣma dit : «Satisfait de cette dévotion et de cette conduite, Mahādeva façonna alors un taureau, signe d’approbation divine et d’octroi d’un emblème sacré et d’un soutien».
भीष्म उवाच
Divine favor follows sincere devotion and right conduct: when Mahādeva is pleased, he grants a tangible sign of support and auspicious power, here symbolized by the bull.
Bhīṣma narrates that Mahādeva, being pleased, created a bull at that moment—an act indicating approval and the conferral of a sacred emblem/aid within the story’s devotional context.
