गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः

स हि पुत्रान् यशो<र्थ च श्रियं चाप्यधिगच्छति । नाशयत्यशुभं चैव दुःस्वप्रं चाप्पपोहति,वह अपने लिये पुत्र, यश, धन और सम्पत्ति प्राप्त करता है तथा अशुभ कर्म और दुःस्वप्नका नाश कर देता है
sa hi putrān yaśo 'rthaṃ ca śriyaṃ cāpy adhigacchati | nāśayaty aśubhaṃ caiva duḥsvapnaṃ cāpy apapohati ||
Bhishma dit : Un tel homme obtient assurément des fils, une bonne renommée et la prospérité ; il détruit aussi ce qui est de mauvais augure et chasse les mauvais rêves.
