Gopradāna-Māhātmya: Inquiry into Goloka
The verse highlights dhārmic responsiveness: a righteous authority (Yama) invites the brāhmaṇa to speak without fear and offers to act for his welfare. Ethically, it models respectful address to the learned, openness to truthful speech, and readiness to grant what is proper rather than acting arbitrarily.
Yama addresses a brāhmaṇa, instructing him to return home immediately and then to state his wishes freely. Yama asks what he can do for him, setting the stage for a request/boon and a moral exchange about rightful conduct.
