Gopradāna–Bhūmidāna Guidelines and Recipient Eligibility
अर्ध पापस्य हरति पुरुषस्येह कर्मण: । कृप: प्रवृत्तपानीय: सुप्रवृत्तश्न नित्यश:
ardhaṁ pāpasya harati puruṣasyeha karmaṇaḥ | kṛpaḥ pravṛttapānīyaḥ supravṛttaś ca nityaśaḥ ||
Bhishma dit : En ce monde, un puits creusé avec compassion, d’où l’eau jaillit abondante et sans interruption, et dont chacun use jour après jour, enlève la moitié du karma fautif de l’homme qui l’a fait creuser.
