दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च
Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food
भूमौ जायन्ति पुरुषा भूमौ निष्ठां व्रजन्ति च | चतुर्विधो हि लोको5यं यो5यं भूमिगुणात्मक:
bhūmau jāyante puruṣā bhūmau niṣṭhāṁ vrajanti ca | caturvidho hi loko 'yaṁ yo 'yaṁ bhūmiguṇātmakaḥ ||
Bhishma dit : Les hommes naissent sur la terre, et sur la terre aussi ils atteignent leur dernier repos. En vérité, ce monde est quadruple dans sa condition, façonné par les qualités mêmes de la terre—rappel que la vie incarnée commence et s’achève dans le même sol, et qu’il faut vivre avec humilité et constance dans le dharma.
