दैव–पुरुषकार-प्रश्नः
Daiva–Puruṣakāra Inquiry: Fate and Human Effort
तथा स्वर्गक्ष भोगश्न निष्ठा या च मनीषिता । सर्व पुरुषकारेण कृतेनेहोपलभ्यते,इस जगतमें पुरुषार्थ करनेसे स्वर्ग, भोग, धर्ममें निष्ठा और बुद्धिमत्ता--इन सबकी उपलब्धि होती है
tathā svargakṣa-bhogāś ca niṣṭhā yā ca manīṣitā | sarva-puruṣakāreṇa kṛtenehopalabhyate ||
Bhīṣma dit : De même, par l’effort délibéré de l’homme, on obtient ici même, en ce monde, le ciel et ses jouissances, la fermeté dans le dharma et la sagesse tenue en haute estime ; tout cela s’acquiert par l’initiative humaine.
