Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
स तीक3्षणविषदिग्धेन शरेणातिबलात् क्षतः । उत्सृज्य फलपत्राणि पादप: शोषमागत:
sa tīkṣṇaviṣadigdhena śareṇātibalāt kṣataḥ | utsṛjya phalapatrāṇi pādapaḥ śoṣam āgataḥ ||
Bhīṣma dit : Frappé avec une grande violence par une flèche enduite d’un poison aigu, l’arbre fut grièvement blessé. Rejetant ses fruits et ses feuilles, il se flétrit peu à peu jusqu’à se dessécher—image de la manière dont une cause toxique, cachée, se répand au-dedans et détruit la vie de l’intérieur.
