Dāyavibhāga (Inheritance Apportionment) and Household Precedence — Dialogue of Yudhiṣṭhira and Bhīṣma
A marriage that is righteous and sanctioned by dharma should be accepted as divinely allotted; one should not be swayed by false, worldly criticism that tries to invalidate it.
Bhishma is instructing on household and marital dharma, explaining that a husband should acknowledge a lawfully obtained wife as fate-given and disregard untruthful human talk that labels the union improper.
