स्त्रीस्वभावप्रश्नः — Nārada and Pañcacūḍā on Strī-svabhāva
Anuśāsana-parva 38
अत्र गाथा: पुरागीता: कीर्तयन्ति पुराविद: । सृष्टवा द्विजातीन् धाता हि यथापूर्व समादधत्
atra gāthāḥ purāgītāḥ kīrtayanti purāvidaḥ | sṛṣṭvā dvijātīn dhātā hi yathāpūrva samādadhat ||
Bhīṣma dit : « À ce sujet, les connaisseurs des antiques récits rappellent quelques vieux vers chantés jadis. Après avoir créé les ordres deux fois nés, le Créateur (Dhātṛ) les établit comme auparavant et leur enseigna : “Pour vous, il n’est point d’autre devoir que d’observer avec discipline votre propre dharma et de servir les brāhmaṇas. Quand le brāhmaṇa est protégé, il protège à son tour celui qui le protège ; ainsi, par le service rendu aux brāhmaṇas, votre bien suprême est assuré.” »
