kāśirājyaṃ tad adyaiva tvad-arthaṃ jīvitaṃ tathā | tyajeyaṃ bhava viśrabdhaḥ kapota na bhayaṃ tava ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô pigeon, pour toi, dès aujourd’hui, je renoncerais au royaume de Kāśī—et même à ma propre vie. Aie foi en moi et sois en paix ; tu n’as rien à craindre.»
