Lorsque le vent, humidifié par les vagues de la Gaṅgā, touche le corps d’un homme, il arrache et détruit aussitôt son péché.
सिद्ध उवाच
Association with the sacred—especially the Gaṅgā—has immediate purificatory power; even indirect contact (wind carrying Gaṅgā’s moisture) is portrayed as capable of removing sin, reinforcing faith in tīrtha-purification and moral renewal.
A Siddha states a praise of the Gaṅgā: the breeze that has been wetted by her waves, upon touching a person, instantly removes that person’s pāpa (sin/impurity).
