Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
वेदविक्रयिणश्रैव वेदानां चैव दूषका: । वेदानां लेखकाश्रैव ते वै निरयगामिन:,जो वेद बेचते हैं, वेदोंकी निन्दा करते हैं और विक्रयके लिये ही वेदोंके मन्त्र लिखते हैं, वे भी निश्चय ही नरकगामी होते हैं
bhīṣma uvāca | vedavikrayiṇaś caiva vedānāṃ caiva dūṣakāḥ | vedānāṃ lekhakāś caiva te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||
Bhishma dit : Ceux qui vendent le Veda, ceux qui outragent ou corrompent les Vedas, et ceux qui consignent par écrit les mantras védiques uniquement pour le commerce—de telles personnes, en vérité, sont vouées à l’enfer. L’enseignement souligne que le savoir sacré doit être préservé et transmis avec révérence et juste intention, non traité comme une marchandise ni comme un objet de mépris.
