युधिष्ठिरश्न गाड़ेयं विदुरश्च महामतिः । छादयामासतुरु भी क्षौमैर्माल्यैश्व कौरवम्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | Yudhiṣṭhiraś ca Gāṅgeyaṃ Viduraś ca mahāmatiḥ | Chādayām āsatur ubhau kṣaumair mālyaiś ca Kauravam |
Vaiśampāyana dit : le roi Yudhiṣṭhira et Vidura, d’une sagesse profonde, couvrirent ensemble Bhīṣma Gāṅgeya—héros des Kuru—de fins linges et de guirlandes, puis, avec révérence, l’étendirent sur le bûcher funéraire, lui rendant l’honneur et la gratitude prescrits par le dharma.
