The verse highlights disciplined dharma in action: after receiving counsel from a revered teacher (Vyāsa), one proceeds only with proper leave and respect for elders and authority, reflecting orderly governance and ethical restraint.
After Vyāsa speaks, Bhīṣma (the son of the river Gaṅgā) gives Yudhiṣṭhira—along with his ministers—permission to depart, marking a formal transition from instruction to the next stage of action.
