नतु वक्षिन्नयेत् प्राज्ञो गृहीत्वैव करे नरम् । उच्यमानस्तु धर्मेण धर्मलोकभयच्छले
na tu vakṣy nayed prājño gṛhītvāiva kare naram | ucyamānas tu dharmeṇa dharmalokabhayacchale ||
Bhishma dit : Même un homme véritablement sage ne peut prendre quelqu’un par la main et le contraindre à suivre la voie du dharma. Mais, en parlant selon la justice—en invoquant le dharma et même la crainte du blâme public—il peut l’exhorter à une conduite droite.
