निवेदन: सुखाजात: सुगन्धारो महाधनु: । गन्धपाली च भगवानुत्थान: सर्वकर्मणाम्
nivedanaḥ sukhājātaḥ sugandhāro mahādhanuḥ | gandhapālī ca bhagavān utthānaḥ sarvakarmaṇām ||
Vāyu dit : «Il est celui qu’on nomme Nivedana — affranchi de toutes les modifications de l’esprit et établi dans la pure connaissance ; Sukha-jāta — se manifestant comme béatitude lorsque s’apaisent toutes les fluctuations ; Sugandhāra — doté du plus noble parfum ; Mahā-dhanuḥ — porteur du grand arc Pināka ; et Bhagavān Gandha-pālī — Seigneur et gardien des fragrances excellentes. वायुदेव उवाच
The verse praises the Lord through epithets that link inner spiritual realization (knowledge beyond mental fluctuations, bliss arising when vṛttis subside) with cosmic lordship (bearer of Pināka) and causality (the foundation from which all actions arise). Ethically, it frames devotion as recognizing the divine as both the inner ground of consciousness and the outer source of ordered action.
Vāyu is speaking a eulogy-like description, listing names/attributes of the deity. The sequence functions as a devotional identification: the Lord is characterized by spiritual qualities (stillness, bliss), auspicious signs (fragrance), iconic weaponry (great bow), protective power, and as the originating basis of all karmic activity.
