विप्रकारान् प्रयुद्धक्ते सम सुबहून् मम वेश्मनि । तानुदारतया चाहं चक्षमे चातिदुःसहान्
viprakārān prayuddhakte samabahūn mama veśmani | tān udāratayā cāhaṃ cakṣame cātiduḥsahān ||
Vāyu dit : «Dans ma propre demeure, bien des brahmanes commirent des offenses contre moi et allèrent jusqu’à agir en ennemis. Bien que leurs actes fussent d’une dureté presque insupportable, je les endurai et les pardonnai par grandeur d’âme».
