ब्रहद्माणं सारथिं कृत्वा विनियुज्य च सर्वश:ः । त्रिपर्वणा त्रिशल्येन तेन तानि बिभेद सः
brahmāṇaṁ sārathiṁ kṛtvā viniyujya ca sarvaśaḥ | triparvaṇā triśalyena tena tāni bibheda saḥ ||
Vāyu dit : « Ayant établi Brahmā comme cocher et assigné à chacun sa fonction, Śiva se servit de cette flèche — munie de trois articulations et de trois dards — pour transpercer et briser ces trois cités. »
वायुदेव उवाच
Power succeeds when aligned with right order and proper roles. The verse highlights disciplined coordination—assigning each force its function—so that action becomes effective and purposeful rather than chaotic.
Śiva, after arranging the divine apparatus of battle and appointing Brahmā as charioteer, releases a specially described arrow (three-jointed, three-barbed) and pierces the three cities (Tripura), destroying them.
