रुक्मिणीं चाब्रवीत् प्रीत: सर्वस्त्रीणां वरं यश:
vāyudeva uvāca | rukmiṇīṁ cābravīt prītaḥ sarvastrīṇāṁ varaṁ yaśaḥ, spṛkṣyanti puṇyagandhā ca kṛṣṇam ārādhayiṣyasi |
Vāyu-deva dit : Satisfait, le sage s’adressa à Rukmiṇī : «Ô dame de bon augure, tu obtiendras la plus noble renommée parmi toutes les femmes et la plus haute gloire dans le monde. Nul défaut—vieillesse, maladie ou perte de beauté—ne t’atteindra. Pourvue d’un parfum pur et sacré, tu vivras dans l’adoration dévouée de Śrī Kṛṣṇa.»
वायुदेव उवाच
Devotion to Kṛṣṇa and virtuous conduct are portrayed as sources of enduring renown and divine protection, so that worldly afflictions and decline do not overpower one’s spiritual and moral stature.
Vāyu-deva (speaking within the episode) conveys a pleased benediction to Rukmiṇī, predicting her unsurpassed fame among women, freedom from debilitating defects, and a life characterized by sacred fragrance and devoted worship of Kṛṣṇa.
