इत्युक्तो5हं शरीरं स्वं ददर्श श्रीसमायुतम् । 'परंतु यह खीर तुमने अपने पैरोंके तलवोंमें नहीं लगायी है। बेटा! तुमने ऐसा क्यों किया? तुम्हारा यह कार्य मुझे प्रिय नहीं लगा।” इस प्रकार जब उन्होंने मुझसे प्रसन्नतापूर्वक कहा
ity ukto ’haṁ śarīraṁ svaṁ dadarśa śrī-samāyutam |
Vāyu dit : «Ainsi interpellé, je vis mon propre corps revêtu d’une splendeur de bon augure.» Dans le contexte, le narrateur se souvient d’avoir été doucement repris pour n’avoir pas appliqué le kṣīra offert sur la plante des pieds ; cette remontrance bienveillante devient une leçon : ce qui est prescrit doit être observé pleinement, non à moitié, et de là naît l’affinement du dedans comme du dehors—figurée par l’éclat soudain du corps.
