अपना बछ। अफड-ण क्र एकोनषष्टर्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: श्रीकृष्णका प्रद्मुम्नको ब्राह्मणोंकी महिमा बताते हुए दुर्वासाके चरित्रका वर्णन करना और यह सारा प्रसंग युधिष्ठिरको सुनाना युधिछिर उवाच ब्रृहि ब्राह्मणपूजायां व्युष्टिं त्वं मधुसूदन । वेत्ता त्वमस्य चार्थस्य वेद त्वां हि पितामह:
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | brūhi brāhmaṇapūjāyāṁ vyuṣṭiṁ tvaṁ Madhusūdana | vettā tvam asya cārthasya veda tvāṁ hi Pitāmahaḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira dit : « Ô Madhusūdana, dis-moi le fruit véritable et le bienfait qui naissent de l’honneur et du culte rendus aux brāhmaṇas. Tu en comprends pleinement le sens, et mon aïeul lui-même te tient pour un connaisseur en cette matière. »
