जातीमरणभीरूणां यतीनां यततां विभो
jātimaraṇabhīrūṇāṁ yatīnāṁ yatatāṁ vibho
Ô Seigneur, (ces paroles) concernent les yatis, ces renonçants qui redoutent le cycle des naissances et des morts, ceux qui s’efforcent avec une discipline rigoureuse (vers la délivrance).
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights the spiritual motivation of true renunciants: fear of repeated birth and death (saṁsāra) drives them to sustained effort and disciplined striving toward liberation.
Vāyudeva addresses a revered figure as “Vibhu,” introducing a point about ascetics—those who, fearing the bondage of birth and death, undertake rigorous effort and restraint.
