तथा धर्मार्थकामेषु सिद्धि च लभते नर: । पृथुं वैन्यं नूपवरं पृथ्वी यस्याभवत् सुता
tathā dharmārthakāmeṣu siddhiṁ ca labhate naraḥ | pṛthuṁ vainyaṁ nūpavaraṁ pṛthvī yasya abhavat sutā ||
Bhīṣma dit : « Ainsi l’homme obtient aussi la réussite en dharma, artha et kāma. Tel fut Pṛthu, fils de Vena — un souverain d’exception — pour qui la Terre elle-même devint comme une fille. »
