एको विष्णुर्महदभूतं पृथग्भूतान्यनेकश: । त्रीललोकान् व्याप्य भूतात्मा भुछुक्ते विश्वभुगव्यय:
eko viṣṇur mahadabhūtaṃ pṛthagbhūtāny anekaśaḥ | trīl lokān vyāpya bhūtātmā bhuṅkte viśvabhug avyayaḥ ||
Bhīṣma dit : Viṣṇu seul est la Réalité suprême. Il est devenu l’immense cosmos et pourtant il apparaît comme divisé en d’innombrables êtres distincts. Pénétrant les trois mondes en tant que Soi intérieur de toutes les créatures, le Seigneur impérissable—qui soutient et « jouit » de l’univers—fait l’expérience de tout à travers elles.
