Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
द्वितीयं त्वद्भुतमिदं त्वत्तेज: कृतमद्य वै दृष्टवा च विस्मिता: कृष्ण सा च न: स्मृतिरागता
dvitīyaṃ tv adbhutam idaṃ tvat-tejaḥ-kṛtam adya vai | dṛṣṭvā ca vismitāḥ kṛṣṇa sā ca naḥ smṛtir āgatā ||
Nārada dit : «Ô Kṛṣṇa, aujourd’hui s’est produit un second prodige, suscité par l’éclat de ta puissance. En le voyant, nous avons été saisis d’émerveillement, et cela a ravivé en nos esprits l’épisode d’autrefois lié à Śaṅkara (Śiva).»
