Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
ऋषयश्नचापि ते सर्वे नारदप्रमुखास्तदा । प्रतिगृह्माभ्यनन्दन्त तद्वाक््यं प्रतिपूज्य च,नारद आदि सम्पूर्ण महर्षि भी भीष्मजीके वचन सुनकर उनकी प्रशंसा करते हुए बहुत प्रसन्न हुए
ṛṣayaś cāpi te sarve nāradapramukhās tadā | pratigṛhya abhinandanta tad vākyaṃ pratipūjya ca ||
Alors tous ces sages —menés par Nārada— accueillirent avec révérence les paroles de Bhīṣma. Honorant son propos, ils le louèrent et s’en réjouirent, marquant leur assentiment au conseil de dharma qui venait d’être énoncé.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Righteous instruction (dharma-vākya) deserves to be received with humility and honoured; the approval of realized sages underscores the authority and ethical weight of such counsel.
After Bhīṣma’s discourse, the assembled sages—headed by Nārada—formally accept his words, honour them, and express joy and praise, indicating collective endorsement of his teaching.
