Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
व्यभ्रं च गगनं सद्यः क्षणेन समपद्यत । तीर्थयात्रां ततो विप्रा जग्मुश्नान्ये यथागतम्
vyabhraṃ ca gaganaṃ sadyaḥ kṣaṇena samapadyata | tīrthayātrāṃ tato viprā jagmuḥ anye yathāgatam ||
Nārada dit : «Et aussitôt, en un seul instant, le ciel devint clair—sans nuages. Alors les brāhmaṇas quittèrent ce lieu pour leur pèlerinage vers les tīrthas sacrés, tandis que les autres s’en retournèrent comme ils étaient venus.»
