Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
दैतेया दानवेन्द्राश्ष महाकाया महाबला: । चक्राग्नौ क्षयमापन्ना दावाग्नौ शलभा इव
daiteyā dānavendrāś ca mahākāyā mahābalāḥ | cakrāgnau kṣayam āpannā dāvāgnau śalabhā iva ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Bien des Daityas puissants et des Dānavas éminents — immenses de corps et grands de force — ont trouvé leur perte dans la flamme ardente du disque de Kṛṣṇa, tels des papillons de nuit consumés par un feu de forêt.»
