Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)

शुश्रूषां परिचर्या च करोत्यविमना: सदा । सुप्रतीता विनीता च सा नारी धर्मभागिनी

śuśrūṣāṃ paricaryā ca karoty avimanāḥ sadā | supratītā vinītā ca sā nārī dharmabhāginī ||

Maheshvara dit : La femme qui, l’esprit sans trouble, s’adonne sans cesse à un service attentif et aux soins convenables du foyer—pleine de confiance et modeste dans sa conduite—devient une participante légitime au dharma et à ses fruits. Le vers présente la fidélité conjugale et le service volontaire, accomplis dans la joie intérieure et l’humilité, comme une voie de discipline éthique qui confère le plus haut mérite religieux au sein de l’ordre domestique.
