Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
The verse teaches that generous giving (dāna) of both necessities (seats, beds, shelter) and high-value assets (jewels, wealth, cattle, land, agricultural produce) is a central dharmic practice that generates religious merit and supports social welfare.
In Anuśāsana Parva’s instruction on dharma, Śrī Maheśvara addresses Devī and enumerates exemplary gifts to be given in charity, as part of a broader discourse on righteous conduct and its fruits.
