धर्मनिन्दा–धर्मोपासनाफलम् तथा साध्वाचारलक्षणम्

संहिताध्यायिना भाव्य॑ गृहे वै गृहमेधिना । नित्यं स्वाध्यायिना भाव्यं न चाध्ययनजीविना

Transliteration

saṃhitādhyāyinā bhāvyaṃ gṛhe vai gṛhamedhinā | nityaṃ svādhyāyinā bhāvyaṃ na ca adhyayanajīvinā ||

Translation

Maheshvara dit : «Le maître de maison, demeurant chez lui, doit être un homme qui étudie les Saṃhitā et garde une discipline constante dans l’apprentissage. Qu’il soit voué chaque jour au svādhyāya, sans faire de l’étude un simple moyen de subsistance.»
