Śatarudrīya-prabhāva and Rudra’s Supremacy (शतरुद्रीयप्रभावः)

भीष्म उवाच एवमुक्त: स भगवान्‌ शैलपुत्रया पिनाकधृत्‌ । तस्या धृत्या च बुद्ध्या च प्रीतिमानभवत्‌ प्रभु:

bhīṣma uvāca evam uktaḥ sa bhagavān śailaputrayā pinākadhṛt | tasyā dhṛtyā ca buddhyā ca prītimān abhavat prabhuḥ ||

Bhishma dit : «Ô roi, ainsi interpellé par la jeune fille née de la montagne, Umā, le Seigneur bienheureux—Śiva, porteur de l’arc Pināka—fut profondément satisfait d’elle, en raison de sa constance et de sa claire intelligence.»
