Vyuṣṭi (Merit-Outcome) of Honoring Brāhmaṇas: Kṛṣṇa and Durvāsā
tato mamātmā yo dehe so 'gnir bhūtvā viniḥsṛtaḥ | gataś ca varadaṃ draṣṭuṃ sarvalokapitāmaham ||
The verse highlights the yogic idea that the vital principle (prāṇa/ātmā) can transcend bodily limits and approach higher divine authorities; ethically, it frames spiritual striving and purity as a means to gain true guidance and blessings rather than relying on mere worldly power.
Vāyudeva narrates that the life-force within him, taking the form of fire, exited his body and traveled to Brahmā’s realm to obtain a direct audience with Brahmā, described as the boon-giver and grandsire of all worlds.
