ब्राह्मणपूजायां व्युष्टिः — Vyuṣṭi (Merit-Outcome) of Honoring Brāhmaṇas: Kṛṣṇa and Durvāsā
अयं च काल: सम्प्राप्तो दुर्लभो ज्ञातिबान्धवै: । शास्ता च न हि नः कश्ित् त्वामृते पुरुषर्षभ
ayaṃ ca kālaḥ samprāpto durlabho jñātibāndhavaiḥ | śāstā ca na hi naḥ kaścit tvām ṛte puruṣarṣabha ||
Cet instant est désormais venu—rare et difficile à obtenir pour nos parents et alliés. Et pour nous, il n’est vraiment pas d’autre maître que toi, ô taureau parmi les hommes, pour transmettre l’enseignement du dharma dans toute sa plénitude.
युधिछिर उवाच
Dharma-instruction is portrayed as a rare, time-sensitive opportunity, and the verse emphasizes reliance on a uniquely qualified teacher whose guidance is indispensable for understanding and practicing comprehensive dharma.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses an eminent elder/authority, stating that a rare occasion has come for their family to receive instruction, and that apart from this person there is no one else capable of teaching them the full scope of dharma.
