भीष्म उवाच ब्राह्मणा ब्राह्मणस्येह भोज्या ये चैव क्षत्रिया: । वैश्याश्चापि तथा भोज्या: शूद्राश्न॒ परिवर्जिता:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | brāhmaṇā brāhmaṇasyeha bhojyā ye caiva kṣatriyāḥ | vaiśyāś cāpi tathā bhojyāḥ śūdrāśn̥aḥ parivarjitāḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma dit : «Mon enfant, en ce monde, il convient au brāhmane d’accepter la nourriture dans les maisons des brāhmanes, et de même dans celles des kṣatriyas, et aussi dans celles des vaiśyas. Mais manger dans la maison d’un śūdra doit être évité (pour lui).»
