Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
सावित्री ब्रह्म॒विद्या च ऋतवो वत्सरास्तथा । क्षणा लवा मुहूर्ताश्न निमेषा युगपर्यया:
sāvitrī brahmavidyā ca ṛtavo vatsarās tathā | kṣaṇā lavā muhūrtāś ca nimeṣā yugaparyayāḥ ||
Vāsudeva dit : « Sāvitrī (la Gāyatrī sacrée), la connaissance de Brahman ; les saisons et les années ; ainsi que les mesures du temps — instants, fractions, muhūrtas, clignements et les révolutions des yugas — tout cela est inclus (dans le principe suprême dont il est question). »
