शक्र उवाच कः पुनर्भवने हेतुरीशे कारणकारणे । येन शरवददृतेडन्यस्मात्‌ प्रसादं नाभिकाड्क्षसि

Transliteration

śakra uvāca: kaḥ punar bhavane hetur īśe kāraṇa-kāraṇe | yena śaravad adṛṣṭe ’nyasmāt prasādaṁ nābhikāṅkṣasi ||

Translation

Śakra (Indra) demanda : «Ô Seigneur, Cause des causes, quelle est la raison et quelle preuve fonde ta certitude quant à l’existence et à la suprématie de Śiva, Seigneur de l’univers, au point que, hors de Śiva, tu ne cherches à recevoir la grâce d’aucune autre divinité ?»
